I spent the weekend learning about listening - really, truly, & deeply. I joined a group of artists to practice telling other’s stories well and carefully. I learned a while back in a writing class that I can tell someone else’s story, as long as I listen well.

We talked about finding themes, creating a story arc, and other classic storytelling skills. But mostly we learned about caring about people and the stories they have to tell.
